Meirav Ong | Judaica is my framework for expressing the traditions and truths of Judaism, for key moments in the Jewish life. Since 2007, I've worked with hundreds of individuals and couples to create artwork that celebrates and marks key life moments: weddings, bar + bat mitzvahs, baby namings, anniversaries, birthdays and more.
My hope in creating this art is that it invites us to find a deeper, meaningful and unique connection to Jewish practice, however that may look to you. No matter your religious background or affiliation, my passion is working with people to create beautiful works of art that uplift and celebrate the intention of the eventual owners!
Born in Jerusalem, and raised in Sharon, MA, Meirav has always had a strong connection to her Jewish identity, which has deeply influenced her work as an artist. She draws inspiration from the rich imagery found in Psalms, Jewish prayers, and from the writings of Jewish philosophers and writers such as Martin Buber and Hayim Nahman Bialik.
Meirav received her BFA from The University of Michigan, Penny Stamps School of Art and Design. You can find more of Meirav's work at www.meiravong.com.
